German Official Seeks Economic Partnerships During Da Nang Visit

Bodo Ramelow recently led a delegation from Germany to Da Nang, Vietnam, aiming to enhance collaboration between the city and German partners in various sectors. The meetings with local authorities focused on evaluating current socio-economic cooperation and identifying further opportunities for collaboration in areas such as education, vocational training, investment, technology, and workforce development.

Da Nang’s representatives expressed their eagerness to broaden partnerships with German regions and institutions, particularly emphasizing human resource development and vocational education. They also showed interest in expanding German language training. The city is keen to attract more German investment, especially in high-tech industries, semiconductor production, renewable energy, the green economy, and digital transformation.

Ramelow underscored the potential of vocational education as a key area for partnership. He suggested the establishment of joint training programs that would provide qualifications recognized in both Vietnam and Germany. Additionally, he voiced his support for strengthening business relations and exploring new investment opportunities between the two regions.

Germany remains an important European partner for Da Nang, with a collaborative relationship that spans trade, technology, education, research, and cultural exchange. This visit underscored the mutual commitment of both parties to further expand their economic and institutional partnerships.
